Time For Jesus

A really fab place for all children who have just started school (Reception) right up to Year 6.  Each term Kids Church follows a theme that brings kids closer to God and shows them how the Bible can be relevant to them.  Kids Church is organized by Karen Wellspring and a small team of helpers.  Further information is available from Karen or via the SCC Office.

Time for Jesus Start at 11am - 12:15pm

At the John Pound community Centre (upstairs) 

Meet at the back of the hall - you will be told when to leave the service, Kids workers will take you round and bring you back!

What will we do? - Play games, have quizzes with prizes, DVD story time , chatter time with each other and God and maybe learn some new songs and a  verse or 2  from the bible. Our themes last for 8 weeks then its partytime with lots of prizes.

Our Vision

To introduce the children to Jesus as their Saviour, lord, best friend and hero.
To encourage the children to have a personal relationship with Jesus (developing a thirst and hunger for God's Love) to encourage the children to be filled with the holy spirit and be developing spiritual gifts (growing in God).
To encourage the children to talk to their friends about Jesus and their faith. for the children to have fun and feel supported whatever they are going through, to be spiritual parents to them.

Note for Parents

These are times for your children to get to know God better. Our Aim as children's workers is to help you as parents to teach your children about having a relationship with God. We see this as a partnership, each week you child will be given a family sheet to bring home to work through with you.

Please also encourage please your children to bring their bibles with them each week as this helps them and us and there are extra points for them as well
